1. Async Query Capabilities: Making Large News Searches Easier

Handling large-scale news search requests is now faster and more efficient with the introduction of asynchronous query capabilities. With two new endpoints, you can easily manage and retrieve results for even the most complex queries:

• /api/v2/query-async: Send your search request here and receive a query_id in return.

• /api/v2/get-results: Use the query_id along with your API_key to check the status of your query and access results when they’re ready.

This approach allows you to continue other tasks while your query processes, saving valuable time and optimizing your workflow.

2. Enhanced Query Performance: Faster Pagination for News Data

To support smoother navigation through extensive news datasets, we’ve introduced solid-state memory caching. This means your results are stored temporarily in high-speed memory, allowing for significantly faster pagination and improved performance when dealing with large volumes of news data. Say goodbye to slow load times and hello to instant access to your information.

3. Introducing Headlines (BETA)

Ever wanted to stay on top of trending news topics? With the launch of our new /api/v2/headlines endpoint, you can now retrieve trending headlines and their related articles in real time. Whether you’re monitoring breaking news, analyzing industry trends, or simply staying informed, this feature puts the latest updates at your fingertips.

4. Flexible and Refined News Searches

We’ve made several improvements to give you more control over your search results:

• Improved Field Handling: The /api/v2/query endpoint has been enhanced to better handle cases where fields may be missing, ensuring more robust and reliable results.

• Traffic Rank Filtering: You can now filter search results by the traffic rank of news sites. For instance, you might choose to only see results from the top 5% of news sites based on monthly traffic. This feature is perfect for prioritizing high-authority sources in your news analysis.
